These MIJ Jackson Dinkys keep following me home.....

The other day I wandered into Guitar Center in Des Moines and there was a used Jackson hanging way up high, so I asked, they got it down, and I looked it over and tried it out.

White isn't exactly my favorite color, but I've always wanted a Jackson with a maple fretboard, and from what I could find online, it's a 2008ish and was MIJ.

Needless to say, it came home with me.
When I got home I pulled the pickups and they are a JB & Jazz, both made in mid 2007, so I imagine that it is a 2008 model.

Yeah, that was another thing I forgot to mention. They only wanted $350 for it. I had to cough up $450 for the blueburst I bought last year. I don't know if they just wanted to flip it quick or if the value really dropped that much in a year. Oh well, either way, I'm happy. It plays great and stays in tune quite well.

That's awesome man! $350 for a MIJ Dinky is a great deal if you ask me! I sold my last MIJ Dinky on feeBay for $450 but it included free shipping. Miss that guitar–not a fan of compund radius necks but those Dinky's sure have comfortable necks IMO. Enjoy!

I love Japanese Jacksons -- Dinkies included. I could stand a few more in gloss black with reverse headstocks and H-H.

Nice score indeed. I was buying up loose necks a few years ago and putting them on WRMG and WRXT bodies. Now I've got 6 of them :lol:

Not a fan of the plain white Dinky body, but it's a nice base for a custom low-cost graphic job (i.e. stickers, do it yourself window decals, or even ready-made decals from an auto store).

Pinstripe tape.

Electrical tape.

No, I'm not gonna dick with this one, it's in too nice of shape. There are no marks on it and the frets are like new.

Electrical tape gets slimy on damn near anything, but like I said above, I'm leaving this one as is.

Well, now I have twins...sort of. I walked into the same Guitar Center today and they had another white MIJ Dinky with a maple fretboard. Identical, except that this one has a few nicks and has EMGs in it, and it was $50 cheaper.

Of course, I bought it.

I almost sold it at one point because I wasn't entirely happy. But then I replaced the EMG with a Black Winter and it's my favourite guitar now.
