These strings just cut through my wirecutters..

Re: These strings just cut through my wirecutters..

I've been using a set from Canadian Tire, Mastercraft brand ones that after 5 years are just starting to show some wear. They've cut through countless strings, Bass included, wire of all gauges, Shim stock... I've even used them to pull nails... Can't say enough good about them. It's soon time to take them for an exchange. Gotta love Lifetime guarantees.

Craftsman or Klein side cutters. I have some Kleins that are about 20 years old. They have held up to hundreds of electrical jobs. They cut wire, nails, bolts, anything you can fit in them.

as an Electrician by trade
I must agree

Kleins are an equivalent term

like
Cresent wrench
Channelocks
Skil saw
Sawzall

it has become a term meaning cutters

as when I was a teenager
pulling up to a convenience store asking if anyone wanted a Coke
someone invariably said " yea make mine a Dr Pepper! "
