so i was planning on buying a an ovation celebrity (import) 12string from samash for $500 around the start of june, as a kind of end-of-schoolyear gift to myself. well things rarely go according to plan. i went to sam ash today to play it some more, and it got sold. damn. so i went to guitar center (a necessary evil here) and it turns out they have the ovation balladeer (USA) 12 string, and for $800. if i was gonna get the same thing from sam ash, it would be $850. those were the tag prices at both places. now GC also includes the case! which is a pretty good deal, cause that means theyre selling the guitar for more like $725 on its own. well, i talked em down to $725....thats with the case! so pretty much i got $75 off and a free case (theyre usually like $70-80 i think). sam ash doesnt include the case with theirs either. so not only did i get the next series up for not much more money, but i got it 2 months ahead of time too. and goddamn does it sound beautiful. plays real well too, and no flaws or anything whatsoever.
the pictures dont do justice to the grain of the wood at all, its amazing looking in person. and i tried to get it in the last pic, but you cant really see that well- the tuners have the little guitar logo on em, which just looks cool as hell
