Do what I did....

spin that vinyl over and over and over...:bigthumb:

And I still don't have all the nuances down..or at least have forgotten them since my gigging days....lotsa little embellishments from Scott and Brian in that song. Basics are easy though.

I doubt seriously you will find TAB for it, especially now that all the TAB sites got canned.

Would love to learn it by listening to it but I cannot pick up things by listening to it unforunatly. but I have seen a thin lizzy tab book around with it in which im thinking of getting. any recomendations on thin lizzy tab books and/or a way of learning how to play a song by ear.

thanks

Well...hmmm...goshh...helps obviously to know alot of basic power chords...diads..triads...the open chords and barre forms (Brian tends to play the "thicker" sounding full and partial barre chords, Scott the open chords and diads/triads)...minor and major scales as well as the Pentatonic....Brian especially shifts alot from major to minor scales in his licks.

Then it's just play along with the CD/Record...make sure ya just fade to either Scott or Brians parts on one side....they mesh so well it can drive ya crazy trying to figure out some parts by ear if you don't realize how they are "overlapping" things....

thats how I learned the stuff...I'm all self taught by ear (and you can tell by how poorly I play :bigthumb: ). Watching some vids or something helps to..seeing what they are doing...what positions they are playing in...

Also Lizzy tuned/wrote a half step below to E flat.

i never used a tabs in my life whatever fast or hard it was ,only by ear .try to catch the song note by note,i mean not try to catch a whole bars of notes, stop in every note you doubt its wrong and play and try to listen to the only note.thats the way i did since 10 years until today .maybe played a wrong possesions at first but then corrected and my ear got strong.
