That's way cool. I've never seen a non-reverse FB.
I've also always had a thing for the non-reverse firebird:

I'll help you re-attach it.
Having owned a Gibson SG Custom and a Gibson Firebird VII, you're not missing much. The SG Custom, while being a gorgeous guitar, was neck heavy and the middle pickup always got in the way. It was a more upper midrange sort of sound, not the lower mid Les Paul kinda thump that sounds so good overdriven. The Firebird VII was a very unique guitar, but take note that the playability on it is difficult (you will fight it on more than one occasion) and it's neither as responsive or as thick as an Explorer. The Firebird pickups are a favorite of mine, but felt they belonged on a more suitable platform, like my PRS Hollowbody.
That '51 Nocaster however? That should be a regular food group IMHO
I will say this, though; Gibson has the sexiest finish available on any guitar: TV White.

I hear you on the triple-pickup config. I suppose I'm more in love with the look than the feel.
Never heard of "TV white," although TV yellow ranks among my all-time favorite finishes. That double-cutaway is sexy!
Nocaster = Boner…I don't think even Bluesman could argue that.
The flying V is probably my top choice, and I know first-hand I'd do well with the Firebird.
