Things you disliked, but are OK with now.

Re: Things you disliked, but are OK with now.

Hollow body and Semi-hollowbody instruments. For years, I played nothing, but CS Fenders, Gibsons and PRS solid body guitars. My first example was a Dean Chafin Del Sol, but that was korean and not a keeper. I later added a PRS Hollowbody Spruce that I liked a lot, but it wasn't until my Gretsch and a Gibson ES-335 that it really "clicked" that those were the style of guitars that fit *me*. The more I play my Tennessee Rose and Black Falcon, the more I'm enamored by them and I don't understand why they just seem to be attractive to Country players because I like playing Rock with them and don't feel I'm missing a thing.

My tastes have stayed pretty much the same. I've always favored classic designs. The only evolution in my taste I would say have led me to dislike overly fancy guitars (for the most part). By that I mean big inlays, flame/quilt tops (I don't care for these at all anymore) and other excessive embellishments.

I realize that my answer is actually the opposite of what you asked, but...
