i already know all of the specs on how i want it, i just have a question for you experienced warmoth-ers

how's the quality of their necks and bodies?

everything from warmoth is pretty top notch, although I would deal w/ Tommy at USACG just because of their much more friendly service.

Warmoth supposedly has fantastic stuff. However, their have been cases on this forum of people who haven't received their guitar the way they ordered it and Warmoth refused to do anything about it. Poor customer service like that is just unacceptable and it's not worth dealing with them period.

USACG I have heard nothing, but good things about. Hopefully, they'll get a bigger selection because customer satisfaction is top of their list and if you're looking for a basic body shape, odds are they can find the perfect wood/weight etc. to fit your needs.

The only thing about USACG is that they don't deal with popular guitar manufacturers like Warmoth is. If your wanting to build a strat copy, USACGs parts aren't shaped exactly like fenders. Maybe part of Warmoths poor customer service has something to do with them dealing with all those manufacturers complaining about their royalties and stuff. I'm sure they're on a tight schedule, but there should always be time for making the customer happy.

They are great, I've built two complete guitars and also used several other bodies and necks from them and I am very pleased wih both the product and customer service. Both of these were custom specs by me (paint on one, everything damn near on the other) and they worked with me to make sure every detail was what I wanted. I have not used USACG, I hear they are great, but I was turned off by their higher prices and lack of selection compared to Warmoth. They also have to ship their stuff out to be finished and I know recently the guy they use was moving his shop so everything was way back ordered. With Warmoth, unless getting finished stuff from the showcase, expect about 6 weeks for them to send you whatever you order.

Had good results. Not Gibson Custom shop quality, but still great instrument, that nobody sees coming!
