Thinkin of Building a P90 TELE; Wood suggestions?

Hey guys,
While I sock away some cash for my Mark IV, I wan't to build a Tele with 2 P90's. I will probably use either a Warmoth, or USA Custom Guitar body and neck. What kind of body wood will best compliment the growl of the P90's?
Alder
Ash
Basswood
Poplar
Mahogany
Balsa (just kidding)
Also what kind of hardtail bridge would you all recommend since i'm not using the stock tele bridge?
Thanks to all in advance....

Copycat. :P I'm really thinking of building another tele, a P90s one this time (tho probably with duncan p90s-in-a-humbucker-shape so I can swap them later if I need to).

Puckboy - intersting, I was thinking of backrouted, chambered, with central racing stripes...

When I build someone a P-90 loaded version of my double cutaway design, here's what I usually tell them
if you want more strat tones - go adler (or mahogany with maple cap), with maple neck and fingerboard - and get 3 p-90s - that way there are notch positions that sound like a strat

OR

get two and throw them into a mahogany body, mahogany neck and get that rocking SG/pete townshend tone

with a tele, the bolt on maple neck is going to make it bright anyway
depends on what you're looking for
if you want p-90s in something and not sure if you want a tele - PM me
for a tele - i'd go mahogany body, maple neck

A tele doesn't nessesarily have a maple fingerboard (if that's what you're saying)

BTW what is your doubel cutaway design?

my axis sport has p-90's and it is basically a tele. It's ash and sound great. It's got a tele style tone, but bigger and definetly rude!

Mahogany body all the way, the neck I would probably go maple with a braz.wood board. Have you seen the Fender CS set neck mahogany body and neck Tele's, sweet as any Jr. I have ever played. I have the itch for one in a big way but $$$ is an issue. They didn't make many and they are holding their numbers pretty well.

Jealousy.... :D This should be a killer blues guitar when you get done :) I've pondered the idea myself... sounds very cool.
Mohogany with maple neck should give you good sustain, which should compliment the p90s well. If you use ash, alder, poplar, you will probably get a nicer tele snap but it sounds like you might want something a little different here.

Thanks guys,
I was leaning towards Mahagony, so this clinches it. I hope I can get started soon and finish by summers end. I haven't been good thus far, but I indend to post my pics ASAP.
Thanks again guys.
