Thinking about downgrading to a Les Paul Studio...lighter?

Re: Thinking about downgrading to a Les Paul Studio...lighter?

If it was my 73 Custom, I'd list it till it sells, then get the best deal in LP's, a LP Std. Premium Plus. They weigh similar to most Stds and Historics, play incredibly well, and cost about $1500 used. Out of my Custom, Goldtop, and Prem Plus Honeyflame, the Prem Plus is the lightest, most resonant, and pure joy to play. I have a C-5/Seth N
in nickel.

I've got 2 LP Studios and love 'em. I cant attest to the weight in comparison to the other Gibson LP's, but IMHO, you can't go wrong, especially for the $$$$

Just my .02

Re: Thinking about downgrading to a Les Paul Studio...lighter?

I have a bad back and have been a Studio Lite User for years. Mine is lighter than every other guitar I have and I have no problem playing it for an entire 4 hour gig. Mine came with the 496R/500T pickups and an ebony fretboard. I've sinced changed the pickups to Seth's, put Sperzel locking tuners on it, and upgraded to CTS 500k pots and couldn't be happier.
