just a boost in muscle i suppose, not in volume. this ideology was brought to attention due to myself owning 2 pretty ok OD's, and being used to that process, then acquiring an amp that has a boost feature, and i feel my OD's are not required, now me confused, as to maybe i need a boost pedal to experiment with the head with no boost, and i use OD wif. blehrurrrrp.

Look for a used Boss GE-7. Cheap, plentiful, and lots o' tone-tweaking ability in addition to clean boost.
