What's a good beginner/mid level bass that's available in left handed and what's a decent practice amp?

I didn't even think about them. They would probably offer me a lot of versatility, but at the same time, I'd be a little weary cuz I might end up spending more time twisting knobs than actually learning something. I have a Triple Rectifier! I already know how to turn knobs pretty well lol!

I've got the 100w version and it's VERY solid. I'm not sure what the price is like where you are, but I get the sense here's plenty of value to be had out of them.

I'll check them out for sure! Hope it's in that $250 range. I don't want to dump a lot of cash into something that might get used a couple times a month. But I don't it to be junk either.

Best bet for a leftist bass is a MIM Fender. J or P are probably going to be your only choices, though, not J+P or bars as most everyone else does.

The very 1st bass i picked up to actually sit down with a serious intent of seeing what i can do with a bass, was the Cort Curbow.
I messed around with a few other bass guitars since then, but the Curbow is still my fav.
I love the all white Curbow the most !
As for amps, i always thought that the entry level Ampeg amps are GREAT value for your $$$'s !!!

The Yamaha RBX series is a good bet. Well assembled. Freely available left-handed. Easy to modify when the time comes.
Same goes for the Squier Vintage Modified series.
Regarding the Roland Bass Cube amplifier. It doesn't handle active and some higher output passive pickups very well.

Not sure if they still make them, but the Fender Rumble 25 isn't a bad little bass amp. Peavey also has quite the selection, as I understand it.

You can't go wrong with an Ibanez or a Squier for a bass for sure! I also own a BB424X Yamaha bass and it couldn't be better for its price (500$). Im not much of a bass player.

The Squier Vintage Modified is probably the front runner if I buy new. I'm also looking around the used market a bit as well. I'm seeing a ton of Ibanez bass guitars used. They look "cool", maybe more modern is the appropriate term, but I've no clue which one's are good or not.
