I'm thinking about making some overall changes to my gear setup. Some have been awhile in comming, others I'm not 100% sure about.

Basically, I'm looking at switching to an Orange fullstack. I really like the Rockerverb combo I have right now but I like it way better through a 4x12. The reason I'm considering fullstack is that I find I get a better low volume tone out of a 4x12 than I do out of a 1x12, and the open back combo turns into a racket at high volumes whereas the 4x12 sounds thicker and more focused.....so I'm thinking I'll push things further and add a second cab to see where it gets me.
I'm also debating about amps.....I'm thinking I'm either going to stick with the Rocker 30 or possibly try to get an AD30 head. The reason I'm considering the AD30 is that I'm really not using most of the gain the Rocker has on tap. I basically turn both channels so they're wide open and adjust the gain on the second channel so that it's slightly louder than the "clean" channel. I use the LTD as a low gain boost to get a little bit more crunch out of the clean channel. We all know what the Big Muff is for.
I'm not sure what I'm going to use for the second delay yet. I'd like to go tape, but I'm also looking at a couple of analog models as they're a little more practical.
To fund the cabs and delay I'm thinking that I'll trade in my Mesa cab, Hotplates and the Recto Pre. I'm also considering trading in the Laney (I love that amp but it's just not practical). I might trade the Rocker in towards an AD but that's way up in the air right now. Ideally I'd like to have both (combos are handy)....but that's an expensive proposition.
Mostly I'm just typing this out because it helps me to work out the ideas that're in my head, but feel free to contribute if you want.
Also....could anyone describe to me the differences between the AD30 and Rocker 30? Or just the AD series in general?
