I've been listening to alot of the early Fleetwood Mac stuff lately and I'm intrigued to give the reverse pickup magnet mod a try.
I have a Greco Les Paul clone that seems like it would be a good candidate for the modification. It's kind of dark sounding on the neck and by a few accounts the mod does tend to add some brightness, which would be nice.
I'd really perfer not to botch a perfectly good pickup. I'm comfortable with electronics and soldering but working on the guts this way makes me a little hesitant.
Has anyone else done this? Did you like the results?
