it's a classic bucket brigade CE2 style with EQ controls that control the Chorus effect in the lows and highs specifically and independently -so a great way to remove chorus from your lows and preserve in your highs or vice versa -so basically a BOSS CE2 on steroids in a heavier duty MXR package.
second, it does subtle Chorus very very well - a lot of the level and depth range on the dials is preserved for the "not overwhelming" portion of the spectrum
The Best Chorus pedal I have ever played was the Free The Tone Chorus Pedal. It is not cheap though.
Yeah, this one doesnt give the impression that its ****ing around.

Man, I still want it…
That's it! If you could only have one chorus pedal forever that is the one to have. I absolutely love mine!
The free the tone stuff looks awesome and well made . . . but too many knobs and options that I don't need. I'm usually looking for one or maybe two good sounds that are simple to get from a pedal.
I picked up a Mooer Esemble King (chorus) and it was so subtle I could hardly tell it was on when it was on.
Could never dial in a decent sound with it.
Ended up giving to a friend who was putting together a board.
So, what does that thing sound like, anyway?
This is my "if you could only have one chorus pedal forever".
Here ya go.
