Sorry XSSIVE, but I gotta ask you the same thing. What's wrong with the Powerball? For high gain, that thing absolutely blows away Marshall and looks more bad*ss to boot

nothing wrong with the powerball at all...we get along 95+% of the time. i'm trying to figure out how i can keep the powerball and swing another amp lol. will it be this one, i'm not sure...but i have my eye on 3 amps now and this is #3 of the choices actually so odds are i'll go with one of the other two but this thing sure is tempting.

If I remember right Splawn was one of the 3? No offence to the Marshall but I bet Scott can find some silver tolex. :dance: Having played through both....well you can probably guess my opinion. :wave:

Yep, that was one of the 97 Anniversaries. In a perfect world, I'd want 1 fullstack of every Anniversary model. What a supreme Marshall collection that would be! Imagine a white stack, red, silver, blue, purple, and eventually a gold!
I'm a sucker for colored Marshalls. I think Jake E. Lee has a bunch, but only heads. Having all the matching cabs would be over the top! It sounds like a waste of money, but a complete collection like that would be like a diamond mine to a high level collector! The problem is you'd never want to sell them.

while this 1/2 stack would be cool to own i'm not sure it's honestly ME.
the main two i'm tossing up are a splawn quick rod and a good ol' mesa dual recto...this dsl was just a random thought.
im thinking i may buy the quick rod and keep the engl or buy the quick rod and sell the powerball for the dual recto. not sure yet b/c i do like the engl. i'm just real torn as to which way to go.

No matter how nice the Marshall looks, I'd keep the Engl and go for the Quick Rod. In this company, the Mesa just doesn't do it. Just my 2 cents worth of course.

I can't believe they don't mention it on the Marshall website. Apparently, it's a Sam Ash exclusive for 200 halfstacks at $2349. I've only seen it on the Sam Ash site.

sorry for the late reply. i think all the online big stores have them. i got the pic from ZZsounds.
oh and i'm going to try and swing keeping the powerball and getting the splawn quick rod as i planned at first.

Too bad these dealers can't just sell these Marshall cabs! What a killer backline that would be, to have 2 sidebyside w/ a different head like the Splawn, Bogner, or ENGL powering them.
