This forum only preview!

Well I normally spill alittle news before the company goes to Frankfurt....
Why should I bail out this season?:D

Anyways one of my own little projects, a small box AC-Tone that can be powered by a 9v adaptor, anyways as some of you might know...or don't...the boss and I do not share soundpreferences...sometimes it causes some friction and all that....but that is how life is!!!

I get annoyed by him, but we still keep a civil and friendly tone to it....and somedays we get a good laugh over it...as it is silly! :friday:

Well must be a sign of some sort of passion I guess??
Back to the subject!!!
I changed the chip back to an old CM workhorse, and changed the clippers too....and I had my way with the amount of dirt it can deliver as well....and it can go from crispy open slight break up to saturated stuff....
So I changed this thing into something I like myself...may not everybodys cup of tea, but should be fun for most!?!

To be honest...I did not really have any amps or specific tones in mind, I just wanted a certain amount of British flavour to the sound....I like Hiwatts, old Voxes, Carlsbros, Selmers, and such.....
And I love Brian Mays tones;)
There is alittle hint of that here and there...

And it got down to be a simple dumb, easy to use, no thinking is taking place, on/off and you go pedal....three knobs and a switch!
>We spend a great deal of time getting the internal powersupply right....as this kind can get you into trouble if you are not careful<
So it does 9v in, and delivers about +-12v on the inside.

I did a few clips today...it is raining and the weather is dull.....
On this one I used my Beck strat...

On this one I used the Ibanez S540R....and set the amp on its fat setting on the clean(more like a tweed amp).
And used a backer.

Got a picture of it too.....not the colour that will be used, this is a prototype...not the final product, only the sound and size of the pedal is right:)

It is that brown ugly thing;)

I'm DEFINITELY gonna have to get one of these!!! Sounded really, really, really good man! I've been wanting some british flavor on my board again. I have the D thing going with the GSR...and the TS tones with the Green Rhino...and somedays i LOVE the Helium tones (more of a fendery/tweed type breakup), but i crave those Voxy sounds as well!

Hey that pedal sounds very good mate. Well done. Good to know that can run on 9v and I love the design... small, simple and attractive. Telling you the truth, i don't like current CM pedal design, but this one has some mojo.

Re: This forum only preview!

Thanks guys:)
Much appreciated!
make a small Plexitone!
Well.....not gonna say much about that one, it is not how I wanted it by a long shot.....
Anyways some sort of small box PT is also coming now.....
But do not think that I made it...I did not!

That is all I am going to say about that one!

Re: This forum only preview!

Why change the color? I can't think of a pedal offhand that is the color of a turd. This, along with the sound, will set it apart from the others, some of which really are turds. JMNSHO! -Rod-

Re: This forum only preview!

Brown, yes...but I've never seen "turd" lol

JMNSHO = Just my not-so humble opinion ;) -Rod-

Haha alright... I'm sure if you made one it would be KILLER! Keep up the good work man!! :)

Re: This forum only preview!

OK, I will be the negative one in the group. It sounds a little compressed! and not in a good way. Its almost as if you put a blanket over the amp.... a thin one, but its there. I like the tone..... if only the crispness was retained.

Re: This forum only preview!

I like this pedal it sounds excellent. Battery powered is a must.
I also like Vashnus chord intensive jamming.
I'd break the mold of conservativism and call the pedal something bizarre to draw attention to it.
