There is nothing girly about orange sparkle! And who cares about good taste?? This is rock and roll! But now you need a 70's vintage Kustom tuck and roll amp (sparkle, of course). It will give you that way-cool 60's/70's banana-seat stingray bike vibe. Then get a whammy that looks like a sissy bar to complete the picture. (If you don't know what a sissy bar on a stingray bike means.... you're just not ancient enough).
Of course, it would also look hot with an Orange half-stack, and that would sound a whole lot better than the Kustom, unless all you play is CCR.
I have an orange sparkle Tele (started life red, and faded somehow). The only thing I could do to make it more obnoxious was to change the pickguard to green pearloid, which I did. The guitar is named "Elvis" for obvious reasons. Ugliest thing you've ever seen, totally Route 66. Sounds huge.

Get the black perloid pickguard and some vertically striped pants with a paisly shirt to complete the package.
Honestly, I'd go with flat black.
When the wife spots the guitar just give her a bewildered look and say "Hey, how'd that get here?" ...... and stick with it. Never cave in .... especially if she hates it. If she likes it tell her you noticed it was on sale but you don't recall buying it. If you are successful go for a career in politics.
