This is one CRAZY lookin switch, maybe easy answer

I recently bought this Tele control plate and, once opened I see not the familiar Tele round/disc type switch, but instead something that looks like a circuit board. It has 8 rings.
:eyecrazy:

I have 3 separate diagrams that supposedly represent my exact switch (Squier Classic Vibe Tele) and they show me 3 differeing connections for the neck and bridge pickups.
One shows the hotwire pickup connection between the #2 and 3 ring, ON TO the little wire bridge between them .. And another diagram shows me to connect to the #2 ring alone. And simlilar for the #6 and 7 rings. The #1 and #8 are bare, no connection.
Yet another diagram says I should connect at a little bridge between the #2 and #1 and th #8 and #7 on the other side.

Any simple answer for this ? Thanks for the help I'll get into the 21st century somehow or another I hope :banghead:

Here is a pic that looks like mine, except on mine all the in-between rings have connections to one another in some fashion.

That's a standard import switch. Is it 3-way or 5-way?

On my Squier, the terminals are like this:

N M B C C N M B

(N=neck, M=middle, B=bridge, C=common)
