Just got a SH2 & a TB6 to replace the Dimarzio AN & TZ in my RG1570. It's your standard HSH 5-way switch config.
Here is where my confusion/question begins....in the wiring diagram from the Ibanez site has the R/W going to the switch & the bare to the ground, easy enough. Here: http://www.ibanez.com/support/wiring/RG1570.gif
The Dimarzio pup are wired with the gr/bare -> ground, the w/bk twisted together to the switch & the red to the switch.
Now the SD wiring diagram, seen here: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=HSH_1v_1t_5w
Obviously shows a different wiring than either the DMZ or the Ibanez. Just wanted to make sure that this will produce the same selection & effect as the other diagrams. Also, if it does, why does SD do it this way? Is it just that the pups are made different or that the wires are just different colors? Thanks you in advance!! As soon as I get my answer I can finish my guitar LOL
