Well I just did it. EC Vibro Champ on the way. It will be cool having a real small amp on hand again.

I got a pretty good deal out of MF. Just got to haggle a little.

Wow, nicely done!

Curious to see how you get on with the 8" speaker; I prefer a 12" w the Champ.

Re: This tempts me....

Aww!!! Kicked to the back of the line... August 30. Bummer, but i can wait.

At least I get the boxed set rebate to tide me over.

Next GAS item -

Anyone know of a nice original '68 Princeton Reverb or Deluxe Reverb (Late '67 is OK) for a fair price? :D

Re: This tempts me....

The ongoing drama - Found this tidbit in my email this morning:
Qty Description Tracking Ship Method
1.00 Fender Eric Clapton EC Signature Vibro-Champ 5W 1x8 Hand-Wired Tube Guitar Combo Amp Regular Tweed: H78279 001 03 Tracking number(s): 1ZA2544X0374768563 UPS STD GROUND
We now transport ground-ship packages directly to regional UPS hubs. This reduces handling and improves shipping time by up to 24 hours. It's also why you may notice a 24-36 hour delay in finding your tracking on the UPS website. Rest assured that your package is on its way.

Hee Hee.

Re: This tempts me....

And the wedding night report.

Well - Interesting.

Not very loud before breakup. Lots of miss, ample but not a lot of highs - very little bass. The interesting part is coaxing different sounds using fingers - Pay dirt! Also really likes ye' ol Fuzzface. Might also dig out 2 treble boosters I have.

I was using a '55 Strat Re-issue.

The other thing is - 1/4" to the speaker so I could possibly do wet-dry-wet or feed another amp with some boxes I have. Also have some 12" cabs to try.

Another key is to buffer the signal if you are using a cable of significant length.
