This week's clip: Vitamin D

So named because I tuned up to drop-D for this one. The ending is a bit of a hack job; I need to redo that, & I may make one riff longer, but I'm pretty happy with it otherwise.

Do you record the bass guitar parts too? I liked the bass tone!

Thanks! Yeah, everything's sounding much better since I started paying attention to that little peak meter!

That is me on the bass, glad you like the sound. The trap I keep laying for myself is I write some 210bpm riff, & then after I record the guitar parts I remember that I'm going to have to play it on the bass! My hands are not large, & my bass is a 35" scale 5 string. D'oh!

The bass sounds great. The guitars are well done..very tight. The riff is great.

Does Vitamin D not need "light" to be activated,this song is really "dark" and "evil" hehehehe^^

I use the Line 6 RiffTracker setup; it's the GuitarPort + RiffWorks recording software. The guitar tone & drum pattern used are both extra-cost add ons; I've wound up spending more on add-on packs & extra drum patterns than I did for the original purchase!
