Re: This week's pedal build
No gut shots?
No gut shots?
You have to keep things like this quiet, dude.
No gut shots?
And the requested gut shots... keep in mind that I'm not very good at keeping the insides very tidy yet, although it's much easier in such big enclosures... I'm getting better though!

Looks plenty tidy to me Phil....Nice work! Pretty busy/populated board..
Excellent work, you should be very proud.
I think the cicuit looks very clean, you did an excellent job!
Great stuff!
Thank you again! That looks most excellent inside!
Yep, it does sound good. I like it at the point where I hear a clear "clip" through the speaker when I'm not playing.Voltage starve. Gotta love the SPLAT of dead battery!!!!!!!!
Awesome job. Sound clips???? Test drive???
. . . keep in mind that I'm not very good at keeping the insides very tidy yet, . . .
That's very generous of you, thanksThat's one of the tidiest looking circuits I've seen. Nice layout.
You know where to reach me when you decide!Awesome stuff Bro!
Might have you build me something one of these days!!!
Thanks for the kind words. That is a squeaky clean build! Nicely done!
How is the PCB mounted?
Thanks for the kind words.
On these pics it's not but will be soon. I use solid-core wire so in small enclosures it becomes less of a problem since there's much less place to move around and the wires are stiff enough to hold it in place.
In bigger ones like this (or with really small PCBs in a smaller enclosure), I usually use double-sided sticky foam on the back of pot(s) or hot glue to secure the edge of the board to the enclosure.
The key thing is to make sure that nothing on the PCB ever has a chance of grounding out on the enclosure.
If I do a pedal build again, chances are I'll use through-hole pots so that the pots themselves secure the PCB to the case.
Lots of good places.Excellent looking. Hope it sounds as good!
By the way, what's the best place for parts? I screwed up my Blackstar footswitch trying to install a jack, and my Hendrix wah is out of commission as well, and I think it's the switch. I'm pretty sure the Blackstar is just a SPST footswitch, but I'm not sure about the wah. I just figured everyone reading this thread might have an idea or an answer as to what kind of of switches I need and where to get them.
I apologize in advance for the attempted hijack, but it seriously looks great.
That looks awesome, dude. Nice work.
A muff or a clone thereof is very close to the top of my list of imminent pedal buys.
