Thorogood Tone -- ES137 w/Phat Cats ?

OK so I know a lot of guitar snobs hate George Thorogood... But one thing I love about him is his sound/tone... I have always played larger bodied guitars like hollow bodies and les pauls... So, even though I like the tone of strats, I don't like playing them...

So here I am trying to get close to what thorogood sounds like and here is my plan...

1) Fender Deluxe Reverb
2) Zendrive overdrive pedal
3) ES-137
4) Gibson pure nickel vintage reissue strings
5) Duncan Phat Cats

Thorogood plays a an ES-125 with P-90 pickups.. The es-137 is very similar in shape except the 137 has a center block... I am not sure how thorogood doesn't get feedback with that hollow body... who knows...

My question is this... Has anyone put phat cats on a hollow body for the blues ?

phat cats in a hollow body or semi-hollow body like your es137 are great for blues.

those two guitars are kinda different and his rig is pretty different but i still think youll get good tone from that setup.
