Dang... they are GOOD. I can't believe how CHEAP they are. I have the Fuzz, vibe and Metal I.
The Vibe is DIRT cheap. Cheapest vibe pedal I know off this side of the chicken salad. Never played a chicken salad mind you. But this is a full metal housind and feels solid. Not too flimsy to use, there's a nice and easy battery compartment and the battery IS included. There is however a volume boost when using it which gets a little annoying when used with a clean sound. But I learnt to deal with it.
The Metal is pretty good. Cleans up AMAZINGLY well from the guitar's volume pot. EQ is quite powerful and while it doesn't reach the insane level of gain the Power Grid goes for, it's also quieter. Thinner sounding too, less beef in the mids. But I like it. Better than the Metal Muff I feel.
The Fuzz is a weird beast... It's not uber mean fuzz. It's more restrained when I use it on top of a gain channel than the Muff. The Muff gets me that Neil Young type 'about to explode' kinda sound. This fuzz stays controllable... which in a way I'm disapointed about. But it's thick as hell, smooth in the mids, modern enough in the low (fuzzier than the Muff though) and overall just another flavor. I'll be honest, I LOVE it. Lately I've always been trying to use less gain than I normally would. This fuzz is NOT helping
SMD pedals, less than 50 bucks each, metal casings, battery compartments, great versatility from all... I don't know what else they could give with them but the kitchen sink. That's three on my pedalboard already, though I don't need anymore pedals now.
The main board got the Metal I instead of the Power grid, the Fuzz instead of the Muff and the Vibe (instead of my delay). I'm getting a powered Pedal Tote for a practice board with HotDriveNBoost-> Muff -> Power Grid -> Delay -> Bad Monkey (which will then be replaced on the main board by a BoostN'Buff I hope).
No need for mojo, these are just uncool enough to sound amazing!
