I love 59 with A4 or A2. A2 is sweet like butter. A4 is more even open response to me. If you like the 59 A4, try 59/jazz hybrid A4 in the neck....its crazy good

When you make a 59/Jazz neck hybrid, do you use the slug pole of the jazz and the screw pole of the 59, or vice versa? And then what do you do with the other halves?

That'll be my choice for 22-fretters, like a LP.

And then what do you do with the other halves?

I use it in a 24-fretter, like a SG, and I KNOW it's got 22 frets as well. The neck p'up is located as it's got 24 frets.
