I did some more stuff to Thursday today. The top didn't really look "correct" since it was an all matte finish. I used some polishing compound and shine it up a litte, just a little though. Since I studied some Burst shots and realized that they still have shiny tops after all these years. I think it turned out really awsome! She is looking good eresseraca... So what is the next step? I am guessing Tuners...

Are you going to have the "gibson" logo encarved someday?

BTW: I am going to visit Kuopio and then Mestakartano Camp in August!

Edit: From the two clips, the aluminium tail piece seems to make the guitar a bit brighter.

No Gibson logo carving, I'm proud of it being a Tokai. :banana:

Yep it def. made it brighter. But in a good way The vol and tone pots are alot more useful now.

Kuopio, cool. Though I have never been there It's about 300 km from east from here.

Hehe, gotta watch out for the mosquitoes when you come to Kuopio then. There are more than usual of them and they seem extra crazy this summer :sad:

Bumped for ModestCargo (who asked in another thread for this) among others who might need this info.

The lightweight tailpiece that I fitted was ordered from www.crazyparts.de. It's available both as aged and new. It fitted as a direct replacement for the original Gotoh tailpiece. The studs had the same threading as the posts in the body so I didn't need to change those either.
