have you ever considered buying one really awesome guitar instead of 20 cheap ones? hehe

Never.

I've owned a few USA guitars. I wasn't impressed by them. I can put a little time and money into cheap guitars and make them better. If they aren't good enough, I sell them for more than I put into them.

Re: Time for another Iceman thread

I paid for a guitar on eBay two full weeks ago and it's not here yet. I am not a super happy camper at this point.

I just realized that I never mentioned what I got, and you automatically assumed they were cheap.

When they were new one was $300 and the other was $600-$700. I just happened to get them for $125 and $210 shipped. :D While I prefer bolt ons, one is a set neck, the other is a neck through.

Ironic. This is precisely what The Forum Member Formerly Known As Iceman did. i.e. Began a thread about buying a guitar but never told the readers what the guitar actually was.

Hence, the verb, "to Iceman" and its derivative usage, "to Ice-trozombie". Talking about a guitar at epic length but never actually buying it and, consequently, unable to furnish photographs or sound clips.

Geez, I remember that.

Right, hence the picture of Iceman in the first post sticking his tongue out. It's specifically an Iceman thread.

But I do deliver. This time, I'm waiting for UPS to deliver. :D

At first I was like "what's with the picture of Iceman", then the bell went ding and I had a good laugh. Didn't that thread get up to something like 70 pages? I remember it was pretty big, and pretty funny. I think Jolly or somebody wanted to make it the biggest thread ever, if I'm not confusing it with something else.

Re: Time for another Iceman thread

So I didn't care much for the neck through, so that one's getting sold, but I think I may keep the Iceman...

Yup, an Iceman thread with an Iceman. :D

Ibanez ADX120 Arondite.. sort of a modern take on the Iceman guitar.

I apologize for the blurry pics, I think my camera is on the way out. There's one chip on the back that might have happened in shipping so I'm going to try to make them refund some of my money. After that, I'll probably work the chip off along with the rest of the finish and have it natural, as I don't care for painted necks. It sits nice and plays nice, and the bridge pickup actually sounds pretty good. I need to see if the neck pickup is 4 conductor and I'll wire it in parallel, just needs to be a bit brighter. All-in-all, not bad for $125 delivered.

Re: Time for another Iceman thread

The cutaway doesn't look as "hooked" as most Icepersons. :scratchch
