Tiny guitars...

I'm giving up on full-sized acoustics for travel. They're too much to deal with, and with all the loading and unloading of stuff and people that I have to do in my car, I don't always have room for a big acoustic.

The Baby Taylor is a strong contender here, played a few different one's and they're solid. They don't sound *great* or anything, but better than expected from such a small package.

Wasn't digging on the martin itty bitty models, though. All that HPL crap, yuck. Boxy and boring.

Tried a Laguna little brat down in guitar center as well. That one made the martins sound pretty **** good in comparison. Sheesh! Played well enough, friggin thing sounded like crrrraaapppp though.

Anything else out there that I should be aware of? It's gotta be small and portable. Sounding good is a big plus.

Re: Tiny guitars...

I've tried a few lately and agree, the Baby Taylor is a very nice piece of gear.
I also tried the locally made Maton. Unfortunately,it sounded pretty ordinary.
The one that really suprised was a Crafter :eek5: Not sure of the model. It wasn't as full tonally as the Taylor, but at around 1/3 the price,it was bloody good value.

Cheers,PJ
