Do you think there's some kind of anti-trust violation going on here? ;)

I still think the Securities and Exchange commission will soon be launching an inquiry.

Hey Scott, when are we gonna see an up-date of your site, with clips of everything and what not ?

I wanna hear this monster ?

Oh, and what is a Leslie ? :blackeye: :27: . . . :smack:

Thanx

Clips happen when people choose to give them to me. I do not play well enough to justify forcing folks to listen to me. :) And, when I find a spare moment, I'll add some stuff to the site. I need to update a few prices anyway.

Re: Tweed Tremolux...

Keith, how did you know you wanted a Tweed Tremulux?

EDIT: Why didn't you just order a Celtic Aislinn? I guess you just really, really want an amp with tremolo?

Yes, I wanted to have tremolo in the amp, but I also wanted something that would closely emulate a specific tone Scott and I were checking out. It happened to come from a 1960 Fender Tremolux, and when I heard it, I knew that was the sound for me.

The tweed Fender Deluxe has great tone, and that was my starting point, but not the ending point.

I don't want to put words into Scott's mouth, but I think he agrees that the tone on this little baby is drool-worthy -- different from the Aislinn, and more along the lines of what I want for my own rig.

Re: Tweed Tremolux...

In my opinion, it's basically a 5E3 with tremolo. It's a lush killer tremolo though! And, on this amp, KGM has me use Mercury Magnetics trannies and NOS tubes for most sockets. I think there's some mojo there, along with a very specific speaker suggestion from Ted Weber that works beyond well. Also using that oversized Tweed Pro 1x15 combo cab seems to add depth to the trem.

Re: Title Change.... Caitlin is born...

Just beautiful! :D

Wish my guitar playing were worthy of an amp like that.

Hey Scott, just for those that may be wondering (me included) what are the odds of getting a head version of that amp as a possibility? Just out of curiosity (we all know I do a lot of nibbling and no biting...but one day!)

So, is this a Deluxe with tremolo or is is a Tremoloux?

Also, the Pro sized cab does add some depth to the tremolo, thats why Leo switched to that size cab on the Tremoloux amps after only one year of production. What speaker did Ted suggest?

Keith, enjoy it buddy...I know you've been looking foward to this puppy!

Thanks, Christian! Yeah, it's really a Tremolux, wire for wire -- a tweed Tremolux.

As you and Scott said, I think the larger cab does something for the tone.

The speaker is a Weber 30-watt 12A125A, lightly doped.

Keith,

I assume based on the cab that it's a 5G9 circut? Or is it a 5E9 or 5E9-A?

You're dead on about the cab...Leo built the Tremolux starting in 1955 and for one year only used a smaller cab (Deluxe size) but decided real quick that it needed the larger (Pro size cab).

I think you'll really dig the Weber too...I have Webers in my V Front Super that Bruce Collins built for me.

It's cathode-biased, so it's the 5E9.

Scott, did you do the 5E9-A circuit? Honestly, I don't know the difference between the 5E9 and the 5E9-A. I guess that's why I'm buying the amp, not building it. ;)

Awww come on.

There's plenty of people who can only play a few chords and aren't scared of making clips.

This is one amp I must hear!
