I actually like Glenn Tipton's custom Hamer somewhat..
It's something different from the lot..
It's the one on the right. He explains the logic behind that design in a video accessible from www.judaspriest.com

have tipton or downing's guitars ever been regular production models from hamer? if they were i sure as hell would buy one (especially downing's maple board red flying V). hamer, are you listening? haha

That would be Mr Downing with the Vs. He's actually using ESP now, so you need to get their attention. And Hamer had a Vector KK model produced some odd years back..

if hes with ESP then why is the vast majority of his guitars (not just the old ones, but all his current touring ones) hamers? ive read interviews from just last year where he was talking about hamer sending him new guitars and stuff. i know he at least was with ESP, but i havent seen him with anything ESP other than the one black V with the metal plates on the wings. either way, i f*ckin love downing's hamers.

Apparently he doesn't need Endorsments, he just gets geetars from here and there.
I think i've seen him with a Red ESP as well.. Anyways, some of his guitars, like the one in the pic above, have scalloped fretboards.

thats the one i love! not just japan, hes using it on the current US tour (including the show i was at), and on ozzfest last summer (though back then he had more controls on it than just the 1 vol, and he had passives with covers....custom wound duncans i beleive he said). if that was a standard model (and didnt have a scalloped fretboard) id buy one in a heartbeat. im talking about how it used to be, with 3 chrome knobs and the covered duncans. thatd rule, id definately get one. since then he put EMGs in and took out the 3 chrome knobs and only has 1 white strat knob. i think it looked a lot better the other way, but whatever.

Tony Iommi still uses SGs. Has been using for years.
