He sure is, I would suggest you to check out Freak Kitchen first, and then check out his solo records afterwards.. Freak Kitchen is alot easier to get into.

I'd like to see him as the new guitar hero that totally changes the course of guitar rock. Theres just to much of the same shredding licks. I'd like to see more whacky yet tasteful, licks and crazy talking harmonics.

Yeah, that wouldn't be too bad, most shredding nowadays sounds like the biggest accomplishment is to make it lightning fast.
