Not for that one. Epi has alot of models, and the one with 57s cant be had that cheap. And its got a case as well His money was also Canadian

You completely missed my point. Doesn't matter how many bucks. I was saying that Epi will always be a poor man's LP, no matter what shrewed marketing tactics wrapped around it. I don't care what clever name Gibson will slap on the next line, 'Elitist II', whatever...

If he's gonna spend that much money on an Epi, better off get an MIJ replica, Tokai, Greco, Burny, Yamaha, best bang for the buck.

So I ended up getting it. He gave it to me for 600 Cad with the hard case included. There are literally no dings and it looks brand new. Only the strings are old. I've always played the ibanez and I thought playing on anything except for the wizard neck would be annoying. But this one just fit in well! I love the sound and feel I get from it. I definitely am happy with the buy.

Great buy IMO.

The Epi Tribute has a true maple cap. My Epi Standard Plus Top Pro has only a maple veneer. I saw some pretty crazy replies to your original post. Enjoy the new guitar.

Pretty sure it has a full maple cap, but the AAA is only a veneer? Either way, nice buy and guitar

Not exactly sure. I thought it was a very thin maple veneer on the Standard Plus Top. Will look it up later.

The OPs tribute is a maple cap with a pretty veneer

The Standard Plus top is probably similar with a pretty veneer

You guys lost me

The plus top.pro comes with the Probuckers
The Tribute comes with Classic 57s both of which have A2 magnets and sound awesome

Tribute comes with locking Grovers and a case
The Standard does not

The sales guy said the Tribute had all Gibson hardware
But it was evident the bridge was Epiphone

The Tribute is a fine guitar

I have the red tribute, almost bought the burst the OP bought. Great guitar and it has the case and 57s
