To compliment a Phat Cat neck? Need opinions.

Re: To compliment a Phat Cat neck? Need opinions.

I can't disagree with that at all!

I'll be the first to admit...I don't know nearly enough (probably never will), but as far as the P-90's go, when Epiphone re-introduced their '56 Goldtop people were jumping all over it. P-90's continue to be very popular, and a lot of guitar players like those...especially in the neck. The humbucker sized variant matched with a humbucker in the bridge seems to be a natural...

Thanks again for responding, Blueman! You sure do know your stuff! :cool2:

I'm no expert, but once I found out about swapping magnets in HB's, I eventually transferred that experience to P-90's, and found new tone worlds to discover.

Epiphone needs a few more P-90 models, like LP's in more colors than gold, SG's, & 335's. HB's in everything is boring. Players need more choices.

Blueman, I have read a lot of your info on the forums and it seems like you have a lot of knowledge about p90's (Phat Cat and Mean 90). I am dropping 2 Mean 90's into my Blacktop Telecaster, changing the pots out for 2 500k CTS pots and am changing the switch to a CRL 3-way. The stock pots and switch were garbage.

Anyways, I was searching for a good size treble bleed for the Mean 90's and this forum came up. So what do you use for a treble bleed on your p90 guitars to maintain treble and clarity while rolling down the volume?
