I'm late to the party, but going on the info you provided, I'm thinking a BEAD-tuned 4 string would be the best choice.
I disagree about 34" scale B strings always being loose and floppy. There are many fine 34" scale 5 string basses on the market. And 35" doesn't really make all that much difference IME anyway, but it does make a noticeable difference in fret-spacing that my hands don't like (especially on the lower frets). If you want more tension on a 34", simply bump the B string gauge one notch (for example, from 125 to 130) to roughly match the tension on a 35" scale.
With that said, that Spector is a killer looking bass!
