You know what good amps do? They kick ass. You can't explain this stuff. They need to stand in front and feel the power. That's it. Nothing more you can say. :biglaugh:

Thats very true you know.

I agree with you 100% on this one !!!
CRANK the amp, stand 9 feet in front of the speakers, and feel the air actually moving your clothing - prefect !!!

Re: Today started very Black & White (...NAD inside).

That's one of my dream amps! congrats!

Thank you very much !

I always wanted one - pretty much since they came out (or atleast since the day i saw Rob Chapper's demos)
Well, that was untill i heard the Retro 50 in action - W O W !
But i know i will never have a Retro 50, as i do not think there is a single one in this cvntry of mine.
So, the TV50 is a brilliant 2nd choice.

It is also (just like the TV200) based to a degree, on a bass amp layout.
It has a bass amp's out put trannie, and you can really hear that extended range when the volume goes up.
Funny things is, the 'extra' low end is not miles more than a 5150.

I would LOVE to hear the TV50 through two of these cabs :

Re: Today started very Black & White (...NAD inside).

OK, so i did another 3 hours non-stop of playing today.

My Tele sounds BEAUTIFUL on my Bassman, and really good on the 5150.
Surprizingly, the Tele sounds just OK, on Channel A on the TV50 . . . but Channel B was made for the Tele - W O W !

Get that shape knob anywhere between 9 'o clock & 12 'o clock/noon and that Tele comes to life, in a P H A T T Hot Rodded 1950's Black Guard Broadcaster kinda way !

I still do not know exactly where the flat mids is on that shape knob.
Some say it is at noon. So anything to the left of that, is a mid bump, and anything to the right is a mid scoop, but i am not so sure about that.
Better see what Orange say about that !

Very cool mate!

I am sure you are very excited!!!

Thanks guys.

YUP . . . still super excited.
Every time i look at the orange coloured head sitting on top to the matching cab i start to smile uncontrollably.
My dog must be thinking i am going koo-koo.

About the Dark Terror.
I read something similar over at the Orange Amp Forums.
Some say they hear it, some say no.
IF the Dark Terror sounds similar, then the DT is a bloody bargain - price wise.

This amp can really cover alot of ground.
Like i said in an earlier post - right from the early days of proto-Metal (even before then), all the way past the 80's & 90's, up to some of today's Metal tones, this amp has it inside of it.

It's a laugh playing early Led Zep on this amp.
