Some of them are designed to sit lower - the Schaller Signum and ABM, which are quite similar to the Faber/Stew Mac one, are pretty slim in design, maybe even a tad more than the latter.
Been looking at them on and off for a while; various aspects of the design are cool, for sure, and address some of those peeves we might have with a G style guitar. Would love the Virage double cut , but they're not easy to find.
Maybe the HDC 77, which is the highest spec MIK one, might be a reasonable bet, has the same stuff as the Virage.
The old Ibanez Prestige RGA's had a bridge like that. Sorta like a wraparound/tune-o-matic hybrid, exept it was recessed into the body for a low profile and had really rounded off edges.
That bridge felt great under the hand, but the plating didn't really hold up over time, sadly.

I've used these before, and honestly, it was the best feeling hardtail I've ever used. Super comfortable with no sharp edges. I am sure the plating issue could be solved if they wanted to.

I liked it as well, but it wasn't without issues. The my lowest string barely fit, I remember. A friend who liked thicker strings than me had to have it widened a bit towards the slot on the back of the bridge to make his string fit.
Most guitar hardware designers don't have downtuning with thick strings in mind when they design stuff, I've found.
