Tom Delonge Fender Strat!

OK,whether you like Blink 182 or 1 pup Strats is here nor there(personally not a big fan myself!) but i just picked up one of these the other day for dirt cheap (under $200 out the door!)and in excellent condition as well and its one of the nicest/ best playin Strats i`ve ever tried. The neck on this is one of the best necks on any guitar i`ve ever had and when i found out these guitars are routed HSH it was icing on the cake. Lightweight,Daphne Blue,hardtail bridge and one of the nicest necks is rapidly making this my favorite guitar. I already have a SSS Strat so i`ll probably leave this one as is.Awesome guitar.Anyone have or had one of these or if you have an opinion i would love to hear what you think. Thanks.

Nice score! Haven't listen to Blink in a while, but I dig them. I really like his Strat compared to the 335 model he did with Gibson. Glad to hear you like it.

Thanks! I`m just a big Fender Strat fan and i don`t really care if its a signature guitar or not. The fact that its just an awesom Strat plus the price is why i had to have it. The picture above is what it looks like (not mine) except someone change the Invader for a JB which is A-OK with me! :cool2:

not a fender guy, but the Hardtail/Invader combination (and price) is what drew me to buy a used black one. I remember also being surprised initially at how well-made the neck was on it!

Other thing I like .......is how good it sounds through the low end, 5watt/class-A amps I play it through. I love the invader -it can really roar then clean up nicely just by backing down the guitars only knob! CONGRATS ON THE GREAT DEAL!

Yes MIM. I think they made these for only a few years 2000-2003 and back then they went for $500-$550 brand new. I`ve seen some today on ebay going for over $700 which makes me think i was at the right place at the right time.

The neck carve is great...medium thin, not toothpick thin...

Actually the other day I found some pretty cool info...turns out the Graffiti Yellow my TD sig has was introduced back in the 80's when Jeff Beck asked Fender about making a Strat with the same bright yellow color John Milner's Ford coupe from American Graffiti had....that's some pretty cool trivia! It's a great movie!

if i was not as shallow in high school i would own a graffiti yellow TD strat

but i couldn't deal with the social ridicule and eventually rejection that would come from trying to be a true hardcore punk with a Blink-182 guitar so i built a warmoth

would've saved like $400 if i could've found one for that price. Insane dude..!

Again i will say that it has nothing to do with it being a Tom Delonge Strat,its just because its an excellent Fender Strat guitar period. The only place it says Tom Delonge is on the neck plate.

I have the Chinese version in black with a rosewood fretboard. I swapped out the Detonator pickup for a Classic LiveWire and it's become a great guitar.
