Tonal differences of higher/lower wattage speakers

A guitar tech at a music store the other day said something that I never considered before.

They had a limited edition Hot Rod Deluxe that had white tolex and a neodymium speaker. He played through both amps (orginal and limited), both set with the same eq settings. The neodymium speaker was much brighter and clearer sounding than the original. (I believe it's a ceramic magnet jensen, please correct me if I'm wrong) It was also very tight sounding, with much less bass and more high end "sparkle". Both sounded great, just different. I would choose the neodymium for rythm and the original for lead, because of it's warmth and character.

Though I think it's the magnet the overall construction of a different speaker that made these two amps sound different, he said that since the neodymium magnet is much more powerful than ceramic, the speaker draws more from the sound from the amp, therefore you hear more tone from the amp rather than the speaker.

So say I've got two speakers that are identical, but one has more power.
What would be the tonal difference? Or would it just be louder?

Stupid pointless question I know, but interesting to think about.

also, has anyone seen or heard of this amp before? He said it was one of the first to enter the state, but I tried looking these up on music123, musiciansfriend, fender.com, etc but have found absolutely nothing about them.
