what would the effect be it the capacitor is moved from ground to input. Would it still work?? What would you notice tone wise if it would work??? Would it even be worth while to try??
I'm not sure I understand your question, but a tone control is simply a pot, wired as a 2-terminal variable resistor, in series with a cap, to ground. The order doesn't matter.
But that bass cut diagram uses a .0022mf cap and is on the third lug of the tone pot. As the OP has suggested (using the existing cap of .022 to .047mf), it would essentially result in another vol pot.
