Tone Bleed and Capacitors for sm-1n and 59/custom hybrid

I am changing the p-ups in my G and L Fallout. I wanted to ax the p90 for a mini humbucker and decided to trade out the humbucker for a 59/custom hybrid. Having very little knowledge and experience changing out pickups, I was first just going to switch out the p-ups. But it is a tribute model and has import/budget electronics. So I am changing out the electronics with an eye on copying what is in front of me.

I wondering if I need the same capacitor and treble bleed. The fallout has 500k pots. The tone pot has a push/pull for a coil tap. There is a .022 orange cap on the tone pot and a 201 (I'm assuming treble bleed) on the volume pot.

Should I keep these capacitors the same or eliminate them all together?

Any recommendations on pots, etc and suppliers?

Any advice or helpful video links for this kind of job?

Thanks

Those cap values are fine. The treble bleed cap value is really low, 200pF instead of a more typical 1000pF, but you might not really need a treble bleed in the first place.

Thanks I haven't been able to find a 201 online. Is a .001uF equivalent to the 1000pF?

Yes. If you buy a bunch of lower value caps, such as 330pF or 470pF, you can then connect them in parallel to get higher values. For example, if you tie together two 330pF side by side, you will have 660pF, or tie three together to get 990pF, etc. The you can run lead wires out of your guitar and try out different combos until you settle on a value you like. Treble bleeds are sort of flawed in theory though, so what usually ends up happening is that you will improve the treble response in one portion of the sweep, but it will become too prominent, or not prominent enough, in others.

Yeah, caps are fine. I'd go with CTS pots, I've never had a problem with them. 500k.
