I am changing the p-ups in my G and L Fallout. I wanted to ax the p90 for a mini humbucker and decided to trade out the humbucker for a 59/custom hybrid. Having very little knowledge and experience changing out pickups, I was first just going to switch out the p-ups. But it is a tribute model and has import/budget electronics. So I am changing out the electronics with an eye on copying what is in front of me.
I wondering if I need the same capacitor and treble bleed. The fallout has 500k pots. The tone pot has a push/pull for a coil tap. There is a .022 orange cap on the tone pot and a 201 (I'm assuming treble bleed) on the volume pot.
Should I keep these capacitors the same or eliminate them all together?
Any recommendations on pots, etc and suppliers?
Any advice or helpful video links for this kind of job?
Thanks
