I hope someone could help me out here.. I am planing to remove my tone pot on my guitar, how would i wired it so my sound will be d same as having my tone on 10.
Yeah you have to replace the tone pot (for example 500K) with a 500K resistor. Beause the pot has 500k when it's on 10.
I like to simply use no tone cicuit at all. It gives you a bit more highs.
thankz for your feebacks..
hey Marcel i did tried and remove the capacitor totaly.. i get a nice hot sounding sound.. but do i still need a resistor cause.. loud buzz n hums is heard when playing on high gains
it shouldn't add hum. I just disconnect the hot lead going to the tone pot direct at the tone pot and it did not add hum though i tihnk it's not the best way to disconnect it because: now there is a peace of lead without any use.... it think i have too fix this some day
maybe you disconnect something that should going to ground?
