hey, i have just rewired a guitar to the diagram from the ducnan site for 2 humbuckers 2 vol 1 tone 3 way switch. the tone control is reversed so it is at 10 when the dial says 0 and vice versa. before i start moving wires i want to be ure what to change. is it the wire from the jack socket and the one that goes to the switch that needs moving to the opposite side of the pot??

Re: tone control problem

You probably grounded the wrong terminal to the back of the pot. The middle terminal is the "input" in this case and the "output", whether through a cap or grounded directly to the back of the pot with solder, is the other terminal. When you're done, one terminal will be unused and some people clip it off.

In any case, the terminal grounded to the back of the tone pot should be the same one you grounded in your volume pot if the volume pot is working correctly. It's a commen mistake.

Re: tone control problem

Your tone control should have two connections: one that goes to the center lug, and one that goes to one of the ends. Take the one on the end, and move it to the "other" end. That should do it. ;)

(Lew was faster on the draw!) :)
