Tone Control Wobbling: Ibanez

Re: Tone Control Wobbling: Ibanez

Your sheer Macguyver-esque comment was so incredibly off topic in my mind, I felt like I was on acid.

Please elaborate.

I was worried people, knowing my reputation, might think I was being a dick with that comment if they didn't know what I meant.

Get two teaspoons and use them as levers to get your knobs off. Because they're round backed, they won't dig into the finish (using a cloth to protect the finish will help too). Just place the round part against the guitar body, press down gently and your knob will shoot right off....

I removed it and kind of tried to tighten the nut which holds it to the guitar body. But it doesn't seem to become perfectly tight. I mean if hit it, it slightly moves from its position. And moreover, how do I fix it back? The teeth are so small that it is tough it push it back into the slot. :|

Re: Tone Control Wobbling: Ibanez

its kinda knurled
the star shape of the outside of the shaft
fits in the opening of the knob
I had to squeeze my shaft together to get it in
OMG
I didnt just say that
I mean the tip of the shaft
close it up just a bit and it will slide on better
