Tone Pot Disconnect or not ???

On my Ibanez 6 string with a SH-8 Invader I found that removing the Tone Pot solved a Volume Issue i had plus I like the sound better without it, But with the AHB-1s Blackouts being active PU's and the Pots being 25K ohm rather then 500K ohm should I be using teh tone pot or at least have it connected?
Basically would I get the same results as I do with the SH-8 by disconnecting the Tone Pot? Basically I found I get an increase of output and perfect tone, With the ahb-1s Blackouts they are already a bit bright and seem to have plenty of output and last thing I would want to do is cause some problems.
I am new to active PU's so I am not sure if they are made so they need to have both pots connected even if you keep the tone pot at full Treble all the times or not.
Basically I am curious as to what options I have like with the Invader i can run with a 500K Pot, a 1000K pot or run with no Tone pot at all with an active set seeing how it comes with a 25K pot I assume a 500K or 1000K pot would not be an option so would I am thinking running without one would not be recommended either??

If you have volume issues with a tone pot connected, you have either a shot cap or pot, a wrong pot or a wrong wiring.

+1 a tone pot wired correctly WILL NOT effect the volume at all just a touch of the upper highs:)

Re: Tone Pot Disconnect or not ???

Hmm Thats weird I wonder why my 6 string did that, Its wired exactly the same as my 7 string which has the Blackouts ( Except of course my 6 string has a Middle single and coil taps on each Humbucker but that is all wired into the switch not teh Vol or Tone pot those are exactly alike on both Guitars.
I will have to take and rewire teh 6 string again and see if I can find the issue.
So with the blackouts running without a Tone Pot wont make the PU's to Bright or To much Treble? Then again the Idea of having adjustability to cut a wee bit of the High's may come in real handy.
Is there a specific Cap value that is recommended for active PU's like teh Blackouts?
I know i have read alot about passive PU's and different cap values to get specific results but I have never owned Acyive ones before this is my first set and I am actually so Impressed I am seriously thinking about putting some in my 6 string havent decided if I want to use AHB-2 Bridge and AHB-1 Neck, AHB-1 on both or possibly using the Gus G. Fire active/Passive ones I read about
