Hey guys,
My strat has its pickups all flat against the body of the guitar, i know there supposed to be slanted, but i have no clue how to do that, is there any magic? Ive heard neck p\u, 6th string is greatest distance, high Estring, bridge pickup is least amt, is that true?
Please help

Also im buyin some new pedals, im looking the boss cs3 compressor, zoom pdo1 and boss ds1, i play srvish, claptony, colin jamesy blues in jams, and in pop gigs, i like a more u2ish od, and saturated drive, these pedals gonna work well along side my ts9dx?

You just need some help getting your pickups adjusted?

Here's a simple way:

1. Put a new set of strings on your guitar and set the string ht. and intonation.

2. With the high E string held down at the 21st fret, adjust all three pickups so the polepiece under the high E is about 1/16" away from the underside of the string.

3. With the low E string held down at the 21st fret, adjust the bridge pickup so the polepiece under the low E is just a little further than 1/16" away from the underside of the string.

4. With the low E string held down at the 21st fret, adjust the neck and middle pickups so the polepieces under the low E are 1/8" away from the underside of the string.

5. Now play the guitar and see if you like it. Play above the 12th fret on the low E and if you hear it sounding like two notes or out-of-tune or just "funny", it's probably because the magnetic polepiece are pulling the low E out of tune.

6. Lower the middle pickup maybe another 1/16" away...but not the neck pickup.

7. Play awhile...as in #6.

8. If the low E still sounds "funny" and like it's being pulled out of tune when you play above the 12th fret, then move the neck pickup on the low E side another 1/16" away too.

Basically, just as starting point, you could hold the two E strings down at the 21st fret and adjust the pickups under the high E to 1/16" away from the underside of the string and the pickups under the low E to about 1/8" away.
