Tone/Volume pots.

I am going to be getting an esp viper soon and the guitar comes with two knobs, a unversal volume and universal tone. Is there anyway I could get the tone pot replaced to a volume knob? So there would be a volume know both each the bridge and neck pickup. And by getting rid of the tone pot, what sound would you get, would it sound like its on 10 or 1?

Re: Tone/Volume pots.

You could do that if you wanted to. You'd wire each pickup to it's own volume control (like a Les Paul) and then the outputs of the volume controls would go to the switch and the output of the switch would go to the output jack. Without a tone pot the tone would sound like a tone control on "11". :) In other words your guitar would be a little brighter without a tone pot. Lew
