Tonepros bridges

SO thinking of upgrading the bridges of my epiphones (Les Paul and SG) to tonepros bridges and I was just wondering:

A) how much of an improvement could I expect

B) How hard are they to install

C) Where is the best place to get them

D) is there a better option

A) YMMV. The Tone Pros are just better quality than stock Gibson bridges and tailpeices. They feel more solid and probably helps to increase sustain. Can't really say it changed my tone tho, I wouldn't want it to. But the quality over stock parts is significant IMO. Get the notched saddles if you can. They're a perfect fit for USA Gibsons...

B) Very easy to install. just replace existing bridge/tailpiece and bolts/screws. No need to change the bushing.

C) I got mine from forum bro, Martin Six Strings Customs. Excellent service and fast too!

D) Possibly, but I've had absolutely zero problems with the Tone Pros, so why ruin a good thing? I've got 3 guitars equipped with tone pros.

Thanks for the help bro, is it worth it to get the bridge AND the tailpiece?? or just the bridge . . . . how much difference does the tailpiece really make?? And for an epiphone would I need a metric set or a regular??

Personally, I'd go for the TonePros bridge and keep the stock tailpiece. I don't think the tailpiece makes that much of a difference. I would go for the locking studs they offer. They're cheaper than a tail assembly too.

For the Epi's, I'm pretty sure they're all metric unless its an Elitist...

Thanks for the help man, I think it might be the next purchase I make. That and some nuts for the guitars, what are the best nuts?? Graphite, bone, etc.

I'd say get a standard Metric Gotoh bridge and a Tusq preshaped nut...

it doesnt lock but its a similar unit to the TP and alot higher quality than stock...

and Tusq is like a modern synthetic bone...

Like lex666 said, the TonePros stuff is really nice. I believe it's modified Gotoh, so if you don't want the locking screws, I'd go after that.

Replacing the tailpiece with an aluminum one really makes a difference. It seems to open up the tone and add resonance. I also really like the locking tailpiece studs. It makes changing strings nicer, because the tailpiece isn't trying to slide away.

His correct in tonepros being gotohs that are modified. Gotohs are the same thing, but without the locking mechanisms. The aluminum tailpiece suggestion is good too, gives the a nicer vintage open tone.

If sticking it onto an Epiphone, would I just have to try it, or would that T3BT fit? I really want one.
