Hey guys its been a while since I've been here. Mainly cause I've been using emgs in my guitars. I have an Engl Fireball(hi gain) and I'm getting a Jackson with jb and 59. I''m going to swap out the jb for a dd but don't know what neck pup to put in. I'm thinking of leaving the 59 cause I don't use the neck too often and rare occasions I play clean. Mostly metal but will any of these 3 pups keep up with the dd?

It really just depends on what sound you'd like from your neck pickup. If you don't use it a whole lot, you might be better off saving yourself the 60 buck for something else. I suggest you try it out when you get the axe and see if you like or dislike the '59, then go from there.
That said, I have quite a bit of experience with the '59 vs. the Jazz in my SG. The 59 has considerably more bass response and fatter, meatier highs. The Jazz is brighter, clearer, more articulate. To my ears, more "hi-fi" sounding. I never really dug the '59 for hard rock/metal. It kills the Jazz for blues though. The Jazz, being quite a bit more articulate, holds up a lot better for metal. Hope that helps a bit.
