Tortoise or pearl pickguard (for Cream)?

Here's the guitar in question, with a tortoise pickguard. I'm not going to do the guitar builder thing, you all can imagine what it looks like with a white pear guard on it.

To me, this is such an easy question! This looks crappy with tortoise, would look inreible with pearl. Anyone agree?

White pickgaurd = too much white IMHO

I'm not sure you can have too much white! Although steel/silver/chrome P90s might look better with the pearl pickguard.

I voted for other because it really doesn't matter because he is going to do whatever he wants and that's fine because it's his guitar.

ok, honestly (and coming here as a mediator...)

MOP just looks too much on a Jazzmaster.

Mint or white on a Jazzmaster is only ok with black pickups, otherwise they blend in too much and it looks cheap.

BROWN tort would work on that guitar.

RED tort should never be used. On anything.

Settled.

Brown tort is better than red, but I still don't like tort in general.

by the way, the guy in the pic of that Strat is too ugly for me to pay any attention to the guitar who the hell is it?

I like MOP on lots of things... but lately I've preferred tort. On Jazzmasters only

though best is gold
